After negotiations with Liverpool Catholic Club management the Saints and the Ice Dogs are proud to announce a new era of Ice Hockey in NSW. Starting this year, and many more to come hopefully, the Saints will now proudly host the Ice Dogs. We will see 11 home games this year at Liverpool on Saturdays and Sundays facing off at 5pm.
More importantly the move of the Ice Dogs to Liverpool see’s the start of a new relationship between the two clubs. The Saints Juniors stand to benefit no end from this partnership, not only with the Ice Dogs Players regularly coaching our junior grade teams but also increased opportunities for Saints players to be considered for the Ice Dogs squad.
All in all the LCC Saints could not be happier to welcome the Ice Dogs to our arena and hope they enjoy their stay with a winning season!
Sydney Ice Dogs – Official Press Release
The Sydney Ice Dogs would like to thank the support received from the Liverpool Catholic Club to allow the team to participate in the
2009 Australian Ice Hockey League season. The 2009 finalists are excited to announce the LCC Sports Complex as their new home venue and can't wait to get on the ice and out into the Liverpool community.
The LCC Ice Rink's layout works perfectly for an AIHL game as the crowd will be closer to the action. "The atmosphere in the rink will be incredible, the size of the ice surface will also speed up the games making for some great hockey to watch and play in 2009" explains Ice Dogs Defenseman Andrew White.
The 2009 campaign kicks off for the Dogs April 25th Saturday Night 5:00pm when the Sydney Ice Dogs take on the Gold Coast Bluetongues.
