In order to ensure long term stability in the committee, and to keep it in line with IHNSW the following motion will be voted on my members at the AGM next month.
Proposal to amend LCC Saints Constitution –Section 3 – 15 Constitution and Membership.
Current:
(3) Each member of the committee is, subject to these rules, to hold office until the conclusion of the annual general meeting following the date of the member’s election, but is eligible for re-election.
Proposed Change
(3) The four office bearers and 3 nominated ordinary members of the committee is, subject to these rules, to hold office until the conclusion of the second annual general meeting following the date of the member’s election, but is eligible for re-election. Each remaining member of the committee is, subject to these rules, to hold office until the conclusion of the annual general meeting following the date of the member’s election, but is eligible for re-election.
We will implement the 2 year terms staggered over the next year to ensure a stable quorum of committee members continues year to year. In the 2009 elections the following positions will be 2 year terms.
Office Bearers: President
Treasurer
Ordinary Members: Public Relations, Team Liaison & Communication
Coaching Director
These positions will not be available for re-election 2010 and the following position will be 2 year terms:
Office Bearers: Vice President
Secretary
Ordinary Members: Events & Officials Coordinator
